Classroom Grant Program Details
Every year, the Missoula Education Foundation awards teachers in MCPS funds to develop unique ideas and projects for their classrooms. These projects promote engagement, enhance the student experience, and provide vibrant learning opportunities. To date, MEF has made more than $250,000 in funding available to MCPS teachers.
The application period to receive grants in 2023-2024 has closed. Thank you for taking the time to apply for a grant for next year!
Our Classroom Grant Committee will be meeting soon to review applications, and notifications of awards will be made by the first week of June.
If you are considering applying for a grant, please review the following eligibility guidelines, and find the link to the application form at the bottom of this page:

Allocation of dollars – Funds awarded to be utilized in the following academic year.
Funds not utilized will not roll over into a 2nd year unless the awardee requests in writing to the MEF board. Third parties may apply in collaboration with an MCPS educator.
Multiple applications – Educators may submit more than one application for unique, separate projects. All applications will be reviewed on an individual basis.
- All projects requesting technology items must have approval from the Director of Technology prior to grant submission.
- All projects requiring alteration of classroom physical space must have approval from the Director of Operations/Maintenance prior to grant submission.
- All project requests must have principal approval prior to grant submission.
Awardees who terminate employment with MCPS prior to utilizing the awarded funds, or who terminate employment prior to the fiscal year for which funds are awarded shall not receive grant funds. An educator who moves positions within MCPS prior to using funds must submit an amended proposal prior to awarding of funds. Awarding of amended proposal funds is at the sole discretion of the MEF Board.
